A ten-point checklist for choosing a hair transplant clinic
Print it, send it to three clinics, and compare the replies. The ones that answer in specifics are the ones worth visiting.
Questions 1-4: who and where
Who performs extraction and implantation, doctor or technician? What is the doctor's name and licence number? Is the facility licensed for health tourism? How many cases run per day per team?
Questions 5-7: the plan
What is my measured donor density? How many grafts do you recommend and why that number? What is your policy if I need fewer grafts than quoted on the day?
Questions 8-10: after
What exactly does the guarantee cover and for how long? What is the aftercare protocol at months 1, 3, 6 and 12? Who answers my messages once I have flown home, and in which language?
How to read the answers
Specific numbers, named people and written documents are good signs. Deflection to 'our team is very experienced', pressure to book before a plan exists, and prices that drop when you hesitate are all warnings.
The Ones People Actually Ask.
Should I choose the clinic with the most before/after photos?
No. Photos are the easiest thing to borrow. Ask instead for cases similar to yours with dates and consented, unedited images.
