When To Judge What You Had Done.

The most common source of unnecessary worry is looking at the result too early. Each treatment has its own honest moment:

• Hair, month twelve. Months three to five look worse than before you started, and that shedding phase is expected rather than a complication.
• Facial surgery, months, not weeks. What you see when the dressing comes off is swelling.
• Weight-loss surgery, twelve to eighteen months, and the habits decide it more than the operation does.
