Three To Four Months, And Why Not Six.

Botulinum toxin blocks the signal between nerve and muscle. The block is not undone; the nerve grows new terminals around it, and that takes twelve to sixteen weeks. That mechanism is the whole timeline, and nobody can extend it with a standard dose.

Where The Figure Comes From.

Botulinum toxin blocks the signal between nerve ending and muscle. The block itself is not undone. Instead the nerve grows new terminals around it, and that regrowth takes roughly twelve to sixteen weeks.

That is the mechanism behind the three-to-four month figure, and it is why no injector can make a standard dose last a year. Anyone promising six months from one session is either overdosing you or counting the fade-out as effect.

Why Yours Wears Off Faster Than Your Friend's.

  • Muscle mass is the biggest single factor. A heavy frontalis or a strong masseter needs more units to reach the same effect and recovers sooner.
  • Regular endurance training and a high metabolic rate shorten duration measurably.
  • First treatments fade faster than later ones, because untrained muscle is stronger.
  • Men typically need twenty to thirty per cent more units than women in the same area for the same result. That is anatomy, not pricing strategy.

What Improves With Repeated Treatment.

By the second or third cycle the treated muscle has partly weakened from disuse, so the same result needs fewer units and holds a few weeks longer.

More importantly the static line, the crease still visible when your face is completely still, starts to soften, because the skin is no longer being folded a thousand times a day. That is the real long-term argument for treating early and lightly rather than late and heavily.

The Two Rules That Protect The Result.

  • Review at day fourteen, not day five. The effect is not fully in yet, and topping up early is how eyebrows end up uneven.
  • Leave at least three months between full sessions. Frequent small doses raise the theoretical risk of neutralising antibodies and, in practice, blur where you are in the cycle.
If it has faded at ten weeks, the answer is more units next time, not another session now.

The Ones People Actually Ask.

How much do non-surgical treatments cost in Istanbul, Turkey?

At Swedish Clinic, Botox starts from €150 per area, dermal fillers from €250 per syringe and PRP from €200 per session. Mesotherapy, thread lift, laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation are priced after the examination, because the cost depends on the area, the mixture or the number of threads. You receive a written, all-inclusive figure before anything is booked.

Are injectable treatments in Turkey safe?

They are when the person holding the needle is a doctor. Every injection here is given by a board-certified dermatologist inside our licensed hospital, which has intensive care on site. We hold Temos international accreditation, an ISO 9001 (UKAS) certified management system and a Health Tourism Authorisation Certificate from the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health. Hyaluronidase, the enzyme that dissolves filler, is always on hand.

How many days do I need in Istanbul?

Most of these treatments are outpatient and fit into 1-3 days; a thread lift needs 2-3. The exception is anything that works as a course: laser hair removal takes six to eight sessions four to six weeks apart, and mesotherapy four to six. Those only make sense if you come to Istanbul regularly, and we say so rather than sell you a single session.

Who will actually do my treatment?

A dermatologist registered as a specialist with the Turkish Ministry of Health, never a nurse, beautician or technician. The same doctor examines your face, maps which muscles actually move it before injecting, and reviews the result with you at two weeks: in clinic if you are still here, or from photographs once you are home.

Is there any downtime after Botox or fillers?

After Botox, essentially none: pinpoint marks or mild redness for an hour or two, and we ask you to stay upright and skip the gym, the sauna and rubbing the area that day. Fillers can bruise and swell for a few days. A thread lift means two to three days of swelling, with no hard chewing or dental work for two weeks.

How do I know whether these treatments will work for me?

Some will not, and we prefer to say so early. Laser does nothing to grey or very fine blonde hair. PRP thickens hair that is still there but will not regrow a bald area, a graft is the honest answer. A thread lift lifts by millimetres, so advanced sagging needs surgery. Botox is not given during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Do you help with hotel, transfers and translation?

Yes. We arrange airport transfers, a translator at every appointment and help with your hotel booking, with several hotels within ten minutes of the clinic. Because everything is outpatient, most patients keep their afternoons free, your coordinator plans appointments around whatever you want to see in Istanbul.
