Is a hair transplant permanent? Yes, and no, at the same time
The transplanted follicles are permanent. The hair around them is not, which is why planning matters more than technique.
Why donor hair keeps growing
Follicles from the back and sides lack the receptor sensitivity to DHT that causes pattern loss. Move them anywhere on the scalp and they keep that genetic programming. This is the entire biological basis of transplantation.
The trap of ignoring native hair
If native hair around the grafts continues to thin, a perfect transplant at 30 becomes an island of dense hair surrounded by scalp at 40. Medical therapy to stabilise native hair is not an upsell. It is what protects the result.
Designing a hairline that ages
A low, straight, teenage hairline looks striking at 28 and absurd at 50. We design slightly higher with a soft irregular edge, which reads as natural at every age and preserves donor reserve for later needs.
What a second session means
Roughly a quarter of patients return for a second session, usually for the crown or to keep pace with progressive loss. Planning donor supply from the start is what makes that possible.
The Ones People Actually Ask.
Do I have to take finasteride?
No, but it is the only proven way to slow the loss of native hair. We discuss risks and alternatives openly rather than prescribing by default.
More On Hair.
Female pattern loss is diffuse, and roughly a third of cases have a medical cause that surgery would not fix.

PRP, finasteride, minoxidil: what each one honestly doesNone of them regrow hair on bald skin. All of them protect what you still have, which is often the more valuable job.
