What men actually ask for, and what we recommend instead

Four requests dominate: chest, nose, eyes and jawline. Two of them are usually better solved by a different procedure than the one requested.

Chest: gynecomastia, not 'chest lipo'

Men usually ask for liposuction and need gland excision. Getting this wrong leaves the firm disc behind, the commonest revision request we see in male patients.

Nose: preserving masculinity

Male rhinoplasty aims for a straight dorsum and a defined but not upturned tip. Over-rotation and excessive reduction feminise the face, which is why male noses are usually reduced less than patients expect.

Eyes: skin, not fat

Men typically want to look less tired without looking altered. Conservative upper lid skin removal achieves that; aggressive fat removal creates a hollow, surprised look that reads as obvious surgery.

Jawline: what actually works

Many men asking for jaw implants have a submental fat pad and mild skin laxity. Liposuction of the neck, sometimes with a small platysma tightening, produces the definition they want without an implant.

The Ones People Actually Ask.

Is recovery different for men?

Slightly, men bruise more from higher blood pressure and often return to physical work sooner than advised, which is the main cause of avoidable complications.

What Stands Behind The Plan.
