Gynecomastia: why liposuction alone leaves a lump

The gland is firm, fibrous and does not suction. Removing it through a small areolar incision is what makes the chest flat.

Two different tissues, two different tools

Male chest enlargement is a mix of soft fat and firm glandular tissue. Vaser liposuction handles the fat efficiently. The gland sits as a disc directly under the nipple and must be cut out, no cannula will remove it.

The classic bad result

Liposuction only, leaving the glandular disc behind: the chest is flatter but a firm lump remains under the areola, sometimes more visible than before because surrounding fat has gone. That is a re-operation.

The incision and the scar

A 2-3 cm incision at the lower border of the areola, where the colour change hides it. Most patients cannot find it at six months without looking closely.

Recovery and training

Compression vest for three weeks, desk work at 4-5 days, light cardio at two weeks, chest training at six weeks. Swelling settles over three months.

The Ones People Actually Ask.

Will it come back?

Not if the gland is removed and the underlying cause, steroid use, medication, hormonal disorder, is addressed.

What Stands Behind The Plan.
