The Pocket Is Chosen From A Pinch Test.

Under the muscle or over it is decided by how much of your own tissue covers the upper edge, how loose your skin is, and what you do with your body. The price does not change with the pocket, so there is no reason to steer you.

Under The Muscle, For Most Patients.

Under (dual plane)

The muscle gives extra soft tissue cover over the upper edge, which is the part that shows first in a thin chest, and it lowers the reported rate of capsular contracture. It also makes mammograms easier to read later. The trade-off is a slower, more uncomfortable first week.

Over (subglandular)

Suits women who already have enough of their own tissue, a pinch above two and a half centimetres, and mild sagging where the implant needs to sit slightly lower to fill loose skin. Recovery is faster and there is no animation distortion.

Animation Distortion, Explained Honestly.

Under the muscle, contracting the pectoralis squeezes the implant and the breast moves or flattens briefly. In everyday life almost nobody notices it. In a gym mirror, a photograph mid-press or on stage, some women find it genuinely irritating.

It cannot be fully removed by technique, only reduced by how the muscle is released at the lower border. If this is a serious concern for you, say so at the consultation, because it changes the plane we recommend.

What Size Fits: Three Measurements.

Implant choice is not a cup letter. It comes from the base width of your chest, the pinch thickness of tissue at the upper pole, and the height of the breast footprint.

An implant wider than your own base gives visible edges and lateral fullness under the arm. One narrower leaves a gap. Choosing by volume alone is how people end up with a size that fits the number they asked for and not the chest it sits on.

Lift Or Implant: The Nipple Decides.

Draw an imaginary line at the crease under the breast. If the nipple sits above it, an implant alone usually gives a good shape. If it sits at or below it, an implant alone pushes volume behind a breast that is still hanging, and the result reads as bottom-heavy.

That case needs a lift, with or without an implant. A lift trades looseness for scars around the areola and often vertically below it, and we show you exactly where they will be before you decide.

Do They Need Replacing After Ten Years?

No. There is no expiry date and no routine replacement schedule. Modern cohesive implants are replaced when there is a reason: a rupture, a capsular contracture, or a change in what you want.

What is true is that breasts continue to change with weight, pregnancy and time, and an implant does not stop that. Many women have a revision at some point in their life, and planning for the possibility is more honest than promising it will never happen.

The Ones People Actually Ask.

Is plastic surgery in Turkey safe?

It is when it is done properly. Your operation takes place in a licensed full-fledged hospital with intensive care on site, performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon, under a Health Tourism Authorisation Certificate from the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health. We also hold Temos international accreditation and an ISO 9001 (UKAS) certified management system. Ask any clinic abroad for these three things before you book.

How many days do I need to stay in Istanbul for surgery?

Plan 6-7 nights for most operations: consultation and tests on day one, surgery on day two, one night in hospital where needed, then dressing changes and the final check-up before you fly. Eyelid surgery and small procedures need only 3-4 nights.

Who will perform my operation?

A plastic surgeon certified by the Turkish Ministry of Health, never an assistant or technician. You meet your surgeon before the operation, discuss what is realistic for your anatomy, and the same surgeon sees you at the post-operative check-up.

Why is aesthetic surgery cheaper in Turkey than in Europe?

Lower running costs, favourable exchange rates and high surgical volume, not lower standards. The implants, sutures and devices are the same CE-certified brands used in Europe, and our surgeons operate every week rather than a few times a month.

When can I fly and go back to work after surgery?

Flying is normally cleared 5-7 days after surgery. Desk work is possible after about a week for rhinoplasty and eyelid surgery, and 2-3 weeks for body procedures such as tummy tuck, BBL or mommy makeover. Your surgeon gives you a written timeline for your case.

Do you help with hotel, transfers and translation?

Yes. VIP airport transfers, a translator in your language and help with hotel booking are part of every package, and your coordinator stays with you from the first message until long after you fly home.

One Patient, Three Frames.

Before and after, where the scar actually sits, and the result once it has settled months later rather than on the day the dressing came off.
