Harvested volume, processed volume and surviving volume are three different numbers — and only the third one shapes you.
Fat is harvested, then processed to remove oil, blood and tumescent fluid, so a good part of what is suctioned never reaches the graft. What remains is injected, and a share of that is reabsorbed over the first three months. A visible change usually needs several hundred millilitres of processed fat per side, which in turn needs donor areas that can safely provide it. That arithmetic decides eligibility, not a photograph.
Two patients at the same index can give completely different results. One carries fat on the abdomen and flanks and is an excellent donor; the other is athletic with most of her fat stored internally and has almost nothing to harvest. Fat distribution, previous liposuction and skin quality matter far more than a single number. We assess photographs from four angles alongside a weight history, and we say no when the honest answer is no.
There are three honest options. Gain three to five kilograms in a controlled way over two or three months and be reassessed. Accept a shaping result rather than a volume result, where liposuction of the waist changes your proportions without adding much projection. Or wait. Gluteal implants are a different operation with a different complication profile and are not part of what we offer as a workaround.

Not automatically. It reduces what a treated area can give and makes harvesting more fibrous, so we look for untouched donor sites and adjust the expected volume accordingly.
