They can attend consultations and the discharge briefing, and stay with you at the hotel. For infection control they do not enter the operating theatre or recovery, and clinical consent remains between you and the surgeon.
Companion transfers are included, and hotels are booked as twin or double at no significant extra cost. Companions are welcome at the dietitian and aftercare briefings — often they remember more of it than the patient does.
