Photographs and a check-in at week 1, month 1, month 3, month 6 and month 12 for most procedures — more often for bariatric patients, who have monthly dietitian contact for a year. These are scheduled, not left to you to remember.
Fever above 38°C, spreading redness, wound discharge, sudden severe pain, calf pain or swelling, shortness of breath, or bleeding that does not stop with pressure. Contact us immediately and, if severe, go to your nearest emergency department first.
We provide an operative report and discharge summary in English for your GP or dentist at home. Most local practitioners are happy to remove stitches or review a wound when they have the documentation.
Revision of our own surgical complications is covered under our warranty terms. Emergency care abroad is not — which is why the report in your hand luggage matters, and why we answer messages the same day.
The coordinator line is monitored outside office hours for urgent clinical questions; routine queries are answered the next working day.
